Josh Jamerson is a reporter in The Wall Street Journal‘s Washington bureau. He came to The Journal in 2016 covering breaking corporate news in New York. Previously, his coverage of New York City politics, crime, communities and breaking news appeared in The New York Times.
In 2013, Josh covered city and state politics in Ohio’s capital city, Columbus, for The Columbus Dispatch.
Josh grew up in Detroit, where he first discovered a passion for journalism covering a struggling city for Michigan’s largest paper, the Detroit Free Press. In 2009 and 2010, his reporting at the paper highlighted the city’s pitfalls as well as stories of residents who tried to make their communities better from the ground up. Also during this time, his analysis on culture in Detroit was published by TIME on time.com.
